Panos Michalopoulos

Panos Michalopoulos has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Panos started their career as a Graduate Engineer 1 at the Florida Department of Transportation in 1971. After that, they worked as an Assistant Professor at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1976 to 1977. Michalopoulos then joined the University of Minnesota in 1977 as a Professor of Civil Engineering, where they currently hold the position of Professor Emeritus.

In 1985, Michalopoulos founded Image Sensing Systems (ISNS) and served as the company's Chairman and Board Member. Panos also held the role of Chief Scientific Advisor at Image Sensing Systems from 2013 to the present. Additionally, Michalopoulos has contributed their expertise as the Chief Scientific Advisor for Autoscope Technologies Corporation since 2013.

Throughout their career, Michalopoulos has been involved in the Transatlantic Technology Exchange LLC, where they worked as a Senior Consultant starting from 2003.
