Shahar Polak

Shahar Polak is the Head of Engineering at ImagenAI. Prior to this, Shahar was the Tech-lead and Developer advocate at ActiveFence from January 2020 to October 2021. Shahar has also worked as the Lead Engineer & Tech Advocate at BreezoMeter from July 2014 to January 2020.

Shahar is an experienced software engineer with a vast amount of experience in complex systems and cloud architecture. Shahar is also skilled in finding the best solutions for business and engineering needs. As the first employee of a startup, Shahar had to master their skills quickly and was a part of creating the culture of the company.

At BreezoMeter, Shahar worked with teams in big corporations such as Google and Dyson to help integrate BreezoMeter API and data in their products. Some of Shahar's responsibilities included working on backend architecture projects, mentoring, and empowering teammates. Shahar also planned, executed, and deployed production applications that helped millions of users. In addition, Shahar declared the development standards in the company while pushing for TDD and agile innovation. Shahar also led a team of talented engineers and made sure business goals were achieved.

Shahar has used Python & Go to create applications at scale, serving over 1 billion requests per month.
