Marcos Buarque de Hollanda

Marcos Buarque de Hollanda has extensive work experience in the field of software development and web technology. Marcos is currently employed at ImageX as a Senior Software Developer, where they are involved in web development for multiple clients and works on Drupal 9 projects.

Prior to their current position, Marcos worked at SPEL as a Partner, where they developed NextJS + WordPress solutions for rendering static websites. Marcos also handled advanced deployment setups for Wordpress and Drupal websites, using custom bash scripts. Marcos was responsible for developing business systems and websites using open source CMS platforms like Drupal 7 & 8 and Wordpress, catering to clients in various industries including Pharmaceutical, Education, and Government.

Before joining SPEL, Marcos worked at BairesDev as a PHP + Drupal Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for delivering backend and frontend improvements for the Forcepoint website. Marcos worked on converting layouts with precision and also handled frontend development tasks like SASS code, GULP icon compilation, and custom JavaScript development.

Prior to BairesDev, Marcos worked at WiNGS Telecom as a Public Relations professional. Here, they were involved in developing and deploying communication strategies, promoting the company as a high-level service provider in the telecom industry. Marcos also handled public relations for web and print vehicles and participated in case development for the Prêmio FINEP (FINEP Award) by the Brazilian government innovation agency.

Marcos also gained experience as an Internal Communication Analyst at Claro, where they played a key role in the development of the company's intranet project. Marcos consolidated content and processes from multiple intranet portals into a single national corporate intranet. Additionally, they were responsible for editing and writing internal communication materials.

Early in their career, Marcos worked at Xerox do Brasil as a Webmaster. Marcos coordinated, produced, and installed the company's intranet portal and was instrumental in leveraging new media over the corporate IP network. Marcos also engaged in corporate communication ghostwriting for the president and board members.

Marcos started their career as a Web Writer at Mlab, where they gained initial experience in web content creation.
