Jacob Bishop has a diverse range of technical work experience. Jacob started their career as an Easy Tech at Staples in 2007 and worked there until 2010. Jacob then became an ITS Help Desk Intern at Hutchinson Community College for a few months in 2010. In 2011, they interned as an IT/Electronics Intern at the Kansas Department of Corrections. Later that year, they joined Kearny County Hospital as an IT Technician and eventually became a System Administrator, supporting networking, server optimization, computer maintenance/repair, and medical record programs.
In 2016, Jacob joined Garden City Community College as a Network Manager, responsible for network architecture, maintenance, and user account management. In 2017, they transitioned to Imagine IT, Inc. as a Network Engineer, providing technical support, hardware installation, and assisting with email migrations. Jacob then progressed to the role of Senior Technical Specialist, serving as a lead for client support tickets and hardware installations. Currently, Jacob works at Imagine IT, Inc. as a Supervisor - Project Team, overseeing and supporting Project Engineers for timely project completion.
Throughout their various roles, Jacob has gained expertise in areas such as hardware installation, network management, server optimization, and user support for software such as Microsoft Office and electronic medical record programs.
Jacob Bishop attended Hutchinson Community College from 2010 to 2011, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Computer Support Specialist - Networking. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2010, they attended Northwest Kansas Technical College, focusing on Telecommunications Network Analysis. In 2018, they obtained a certification as a StorageCraft Engineer.
