Adeel Mirza

Adeel Mirza has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Adeel currently holds the position of Director, Software Engineering and QA at IMAX, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, Adeel worked at Cineplex as a Director, Application Delivery from October 2020 to August 2022. In this role, they led agile teams supporting various software platforms and played a key role in transforming enterprise platforms and driving innovation.

Before Cineplex, Adeel worked at Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) from September 2019 to October 2020. Adeel held multiple managerial roles at HBC, including Manager, Intelligent Automation (AI/ML and RPA), Manager, Integration Services, and Team Lead, Integration Services and Development. Adeel showcased their expertise in AI/ML, RPA, and cloud integration while leading and overseeing dynamic teams. Adeel also designed an Azure-based platform for UiPath and led various projects and initiatives for the integration services team.

From 2015 to 2019, Adeel worked at eHealth Ontario as a Team Lead, Digital Health Delivery. In this role, they led the design, development, integration, and implementation of technical solutions to meet the Ministry of Health's business requirements. Adeel introduced Docker EE and orchestration with Swarm and Kubernetes.

Adeel's earlier experience includes roles at TD as a Technical Lead - Middleware and Database from 2013 to 2015 and as an IT Specialist - Middleware from 2011 to 2013. Adeel provided technical support for middleware technologies and developed complex scripting to automate tasks.

Prior to TD, Adeel worked at Canada Life, where they were a Technical Specialist - Middleware from 2007 to 2011 and a System Administrator from 2005 to 2007. Their responsibilities included being a subject matter expert for middleware technologies and providing production support for Intel-based servers.

Adeel's career began at IBM Canada Ltd., where they worked as a Technical Support representative from 2004 to 2005, providing 3rd level technical support to government clients.

Adeel Mirza attended SPM Learning from 2013-2014, where they studied PM Blazer - Project Management. Adeel then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences from the University of Manitoba from 2000-2004. In 2008, Adeel Mirza attended Red River College Polytechnic to study Project Management. Adeel has also obtained additional certifications in 2012, including IBM Certified System Administrator from IBM and ITIL Foundation V3 from ITIL Certified.
