Bas Van Opheusden

Bas van Opheusden is an AI Research Scientist at Imbue, where Bas specializes in building AI agents that can reason and code. Prior to this, Bas was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Princeton University in the Computer Science Department. Bas also has experience as a Research Intern at Meta, where Bas worked on VR experiments and reinforcement learning agents. Bas pursued their education at New York University and Leiden University, earning a PhD in Neuroscience and degrees in Physics and Mathematics. Bas has a background in teaching both at the university level and high school level.
