Eric Pogrelis has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Eric started their career at Bank of America in 1998, where they worked as a Systems Administrator/Engineer for over five years. Following that, Eric worked as a Consultant at Orbitz.com for a few months in 2004. Eric then joined Citadel Investment Group, initially as a Systems Engineer/Administrator and later transitioning to the Technical Architecture team. Eric was responsible for designing and implementing an enterprise monitoring system at Citadel.
In 2006, Eric joined Classified Ventures, LLC. as the Unix Team Lead, where they focused on systems administration and some systems architecture for the Cars.com vertical. After five years with Classified Ventures, Eric moved on to IMC financial markets & asset management in 2011. Eric initially worked as a Linux Engineer, supporting the trading systems platform and engaging in global infrastructure and systems automation. In 2012, Eric was promoted to Manager, Linux Systems Engineering, and in 2013, they took on the role of Manager, Data and Linux Engineering.
Currently, Eric works at IMC Trading B.V. since 2017 as the Trading Infrastructure Lead. In this role, they manage the Systems Engineering group, overseeing the server and network infrastructure that supports the company's trading activities in European markets. Eric's technical areas of responsibility include a large Linux server environment, Big Data ecosystems, data analysis, automation, and Python and Java development.
Eric Pogrelis attended the University of Chicago from 1993 to 2002, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology.
