Willemijn Groenendaal

Willemijn Groenendaal has extensive work experience in various research positions. Willemijn is currently employed as the Principal Scientist & Team Lead at the OnePlanet Research Center since 2022. Prior to this, they held the same position at imec starting in 2022. At imec, they also served as a Principal Scientist / Principal Member of Technical Staff from 2020 onwards, a Senior Researcher from 2017 to 2019, and a Researcher from 2015 to 2016. Before joining imec, they worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Weill Cornell Medical College from 2011 to 2014. Willemijn also completed their PhD at Eindhoven University of Technology from 2007 to 2011 and worked as a Visiting Scholar at Michigan State University in 2008. Their early experience includes a Graduation Thesis project at Philips Research in 2005.

From 2001 to 2006, Willemijn Groenendaal attended Eindhoven University of Technology, where they earned their MSc in Biomedical Engineering.
