Vinícius Borges Fortes

Vinícius Borges Fortes is a co-founder of Hi Sign and Hi ORDER Regulação e Tecnologia, actively engaged in these roles since January 2022 and January 2020, respectively. Additionally, Vinícius has been a professor and coordinator for various law programs at Atitus Educação since August 2010 and serves as a visiting scholar at Brussels Privacy Hub, focusing on Internet privacy rights in Brazil and the EU since January 2016. As an associate researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel since 2016, Vinícius contributes to scholarly work pertaining to privacy and data protection. Vinícius holds multiple degrees, including a post-doctorate in Law, Technology and Society, a doctorate in Fundamental Rights, and a master's in Labor Law, Environment, and Development, alongside a bachelor's degree in Law. Prior legal experience includes serving as a partner at Fortes & Agostini Advocacia e Consultoria from April 2009 to December 2011.
