Juarez Borges

Juarez Borges has had extensive experience in the industrial and consulting sectors. Juarez worked as an Industrial Director at Imerys - Rio Capim Caulim from 2015 to the present. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant at JRZ Consultoria from 2013 to 2015, where they were involved in process, production, and maintenance activities, as well as the implementation of quality programs. Before that, they served as the General Manager at Hydro Alunorte from 2009 to 2013, where they managed various areas, including digestion, filtration, precipitation, and calcination. Juarez also developed an efficient system for handling production, costs, and safety information. From 1996 to 2009, Juarez worked at Albras Aluminio Brasileiro as a Maintenance Area Manager, focusing on the design of facilities and coordination of projects. Juarez also managed the maintenance of electrolytic cells and qualified international suppliers of carbonaceous materials. Prior to that, they held various managerial roles at Albras - Aluminio Brasileiro SA, including Anode Baking Furnace Division Manager and Maintenance Division Manager (Refractory), where they managed maintenance activities and developed improved designs for anode baking furnaces.

Juarez Borges completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Economy and Business Management at Fundação Dom Cabral in the year 2000. Prior to that, from 1979 to 1985, they pursued a degree in Metallurgical Engineering at UFOP - Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto, specializing in the field of Metallurgical Engineering.
