Mariwan Abdulwahid Qadir

Mariwan is a project coordinator and operations officer based in Erbil, Iraq. He is responsible for monitoring and verifying US funded conventional weapons destruction activities implemented by Humanitarian Mine Action partners in Iraq.

Mariwan has 20 years of experience working with government institutions, UN agencies and NGOs. Prior to joining iMMAP, Mariwan worked with the Iraqi Kurdistan Mine Action Agency as a quality management director for 14 years. Prior to that he worked with UNOPS as a QA monitor for two years and GFC as a Deminer for four years.

Mariwan holds a diploma in teaching from the teaching institute from Erbil, Iraq. He is fluent in Kurdish, Arabic and English.
