Yeshwant Muthusamy

Dr. Yeshwant Muthusamy is Immersion’s Chief Technology Officer and leads its haptics standardization and ecosystem strategy, leveraging Immersion’s long-standing leadership in haptics technology in diverse fields such as mobile devices, gaming, AR/VR, IoT, and automobiles. Dr. Muthusamy has over 25 years of experience in developing speech, audio, and multimedia standards in international SDOs such as MPEG, ETSI, ATSC, Khronos, and IETF. He has held several research and engineering roles at Texas Instruments, Nokia, Samsung Research America, and Toyota. Dr. Muthusamy has six issued patents and over 30 peer-reviewed publications in the areas of speech recognition, automatic language identification, intelligent natural language systems, IoT, and AR/VR. He holds a B. Tech from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India and a Ph.D. from Oregon Graduate Institute, both in Computer Science and Engineering.
