Anika Sweet

Anika Sweet has extensive experience in education and cultural communication, currently serving as Supervisor SOPA and previously as Intake Counselor and EAL Instructor at the Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia since June 2017. Anika also facilitated SOPA Atlantic Cultural Communications and taught English as an Additional Language. Prior to this, Anika worked as a Substitute Teacher at the East Coast School of Languages and as an EAL Instructor with the Halifax Regional School Board. Anika's earlier career in the film industry included a role as Assistant Costume Designer from February 2001 to October 2013. Anika holds a TESOL Certificate from Acadia University and a degree in Media Marketing and Fashion Journalism from AMD Akademie Mode & Design.
