Carolyn Rumsey

Carolyn Rumsey is a seasoned professional in international development and refugee protection, currently serving as a Coordinating Member at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada since September 2013. Notable previous roles include Member of the Refugee Protection Division and Policy Analyst, as well as experience as a Consultant at Match International, where Carolyn authored an Annual Report and contributed to advocacy strategies against gender violence in conflict. Carolyn's analytical skills were honed as an Analyst at Universalia, focusing on evaluations of international programs, and as a Junior Communications Officer at the Canadian International Development Agency, where outreach and awareness initiatives regarding CIDA projects in Haiti were developed. Carolyn's academic background includes a Master’s degree in International Development and Globalization from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in French and English from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
