Ciara Lee

Special Advisor

Ciara Lee is a Member of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, serving as an adjudicator in the Refugee Protection Division since September 2018. Prior to this role, Ciara worked as a Policy Consultant with the UNDP from January 2014 to August 2018, focusing on responsive and accountable institutions within the Governance and Peacebuilding Cluster. Additional experience includes serving as an intern at both the UNDP and Freedom House Detroit, where efforts centered on democratic governance and support for political refugees. Earlier roles include research and teaching assistant positions at Wayne State University, where Ciara contributed to courses on African-American and Modern American Literature. Ciara holds a Master of Arts in Political Science, a Graduate Certificate in Peace and Security Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Economics, all from Wayne State University.
