Karel Breda

Karel Breda is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple sectors, particularly in energy and infrastructure. As Group CFO at IMMOBEL since August 2018, Karel oversees financial strategy and operations. Previous positions include Managing Director at Engie Solar MESCAT and CFO for ENGIE E&P Nederland B.V., where responsibilities encompassed finance, legal, procurement, and ICT in offshore oil and gas. Karel also served as CFO and Head of Acquisitions for GDF Suez Energy International, effectively managing financial operations in a rapidly growing region and earning multiple accolades from international financial publications. Early career experience includes consulting in strategy and internationalization projects. Karel holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a graduate degree in Applied Economic Sciences from KU Leuven.
