Geert Baggerman

Geert Baggerman is a distinguished academic and industry professional currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder at ImmuneSpec since February 2023. Baggerman also holds the position of Professor at the University of Antwerp, beginning in October 2012, and previously worked as an R&D professional at VITO until December 2023, specializing in mass spectrometry-driven proteomics and data-driven proteomics for biomarker and drug discovery. Earlier roles include Senior Technical Advisor at Toxikon Belgium and Coordinator of ProMeta at KU Leuven, which focused on proteomics and metabolomics services. Baggerman's academic foundation includes a PhD in Biology from KU Leuven and secondary education in sciences at Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe College, Halle.
