Ismael Rodriguez has a diverse work experience spanning from 2000 to 2019. Ismael started their career in 2000 with the United States Air Force as an Airborne Communications Systems Technician. During their time there, they participated in various military exercises, deployed for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, and was responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining communication systems.

In 2008, Ismael joined Hollister Co. as an Impacter/Stock Room Manager and stayed with the company until 2013.

In 2011, they worked briefly as a Benthic Sediment Sorter for Terra Environmental Services, Inc.

Ismael then joined the Florida Department of Health in 2012 as a Laboratory Technician I. In this role, they processed and tested blood and urine samples for various diseases, performed molecular techniques like gel electrophoresis and RNA sequencing, and confirmed and identified Norovirus. Ismael'stenure with the department lasted until 2019.

Most recently, Ismael worked as a Laboratory Scientist I at Immunologix Laboratories starting in 2019.

Ismael Rodriguez attended Hutchinson Central Technical High School from 1995 to 1999, where they pursued a degree in Biochemistry during their high school studies. After completing high school, they enrolled in the University of Tampa from 2007 to 2010. At the University of Tampa, Ismael obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, with a minor in Chemistry.
