Alexander Hurst has a diverse work experience, starting in 2011 as an intern for the District Office at Farmers Insurance. In 2012, they became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Missouri Trulaske School of Business, where they taught undergraduate business law. In 2013, they worked as a Law Clerk at Simon Law Offices.
In 2014, Alexander had multiple roles. Alexander served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Chief Justice Mary R. Russell at the Supreme Court of Missouri, where they drafted memoranda and conducted research. Alexander also worked as an Intern in the Adjudication Division at the Missouri Public Service Commission, assisting administrative law judges in utilities regulation.
From 2014 to 2019, Alexander joined Evans & Dixon as an Associate Attorney, focusing on transactional law for corporations, small businesses, and startup companies. Their secondary focus was federal trademark, copyright, and environmental litigation. In February 2019, they transitioned to part-time work at the firm.
In 2019, Alexander joined Immunophotonics, Inc., initially as the General Counsel and Director of Operations, and later transitioning to the role of General Counsel and VP of Operations.
Alexander Hurst attended Truman State University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Marketing and International Business. Subsequently, from 2011 to 2015, they attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Law, obtaining a Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Additionally, during the same period, they pursued a JD/MBA dual degree program at the University of Missouri - Columbia, Trulaske School of Business, completing their studies in 2015.
