Parakalan Rangarajan

Parakalan Rangarajan has a diverse work experience in the field of medical research, intellectual property, contracts, and project management.

Starting in 2013, Parakalan worked at the National University of Singapore as a Research Assistant and later as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow until 2016. During this time, Parakalan gained valuable experience in scientific research.

In 2016, Parakalan joined Duke-NUS Medical School as a Senior IP and Licensing Analyst, where they were responsible for evaluating scientific merits and strategizing intellectual property and business development for a portfolio of life-science projects. They also conducted market intelligence and due diligence for patent assets and commercialization. In 2020, Parakalan was promoted to Senior Technology Development Manager, further enhancing their skills in identifying and protecting commercially-viable innovation assets.

Since 2022, Parakalan has been working as the Director of IP, Contracts, and Project Management at ImmunoScape. In this role, Parakalan is responsible for overseeing intellectual property management, contract negotiations, and project management.

Parakalan Rangarajan's education history begins in 2004 when they enrolled at Anna University for a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Industrial Biotechnology, which they completed in 2008. In 2009, they pursued a higher level of education at the National University of Singapore, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neurobiology and Neurosciences in 2014.

Afterwards, in 2015, Parakalan Rangarajan attended NUS Faculty of Law to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law (GCIP), specializing in Intellectual Property Law. Parakalan completed this program in 2016.

In 2019, Parakalan Rangarajan began their studies at Duke-NUS Medical School, aiming to obtain a Graduate Certificate in Health Products Regulation. Parakalan is expected to complete this program in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Parakalan Rangarajan has also earned several certifications. Parakalan completed the 'Leading With Finance' program from Harvard Business School Online in December 2020. Furthermore, they obtained certifications in 'AI for Everyone' from Coursera and 'An Entire MBA in one course' from Udemy, both in September 2020.
