Joe Regensburger is currently the VP of Research at Immuta. Joe was previously the Chief Scientist at Illumination Works from October 2014 to March 2017. While at Illumination Works, Joe led data science and analytics efforts within the commercial and federal business areas. Joe directed a data science team responsible for shepherding ILW’s research efforts, leading algorithm, machine learning, and analytics capability development, and championing the capabilities being incubated and developed in the ILW Innovation Lab. Additionally, they lead development of novel text analytics algorithms to classify text and quantify prediction uncertainty. These implementations improved data quality by 50%. Joe also lead Project Portfolio Management (PPM) efforts, developing key performance indicators, measuring performance delivery and quality, identifying key risk factors, and quantifying risk within PPM system. Furthermore, Joe designed a Bayesian framework to predict remaining useful life and confidence bounds for predictive maintenance system.
Joe Regensburger earned their PhD in Physics from The Ohio State University. Joe also holds a Master's Degree in Physics from University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Applied Mathematics from Bowling Green State University.
