Liz Kang

Liz Kang currently serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at IMPACT Community Capital LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser overseeing $2.9 billion in investments. In this role, Liz Kang structures and closes private funds related to mortgage loans and real estate, advises on regulatory compliance under various securities acts, and manages legal transactions such as PPMs and investment agreements. Previous experience includes positions as Associate General Counsel at Harbor, Inc., where Liz Kang developed legal frameworks for online investments, and Counsel for Enterprise Transactions at Uber, focusing on commercial contracts and M&A. Earlier roles at Sidley Austin and Fried Frank provided substantial experience in securitizations, credit facilities, and corporate law. Liz Kang holds a JD from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and an LLB from Seoul National University.
