Jim Bunch

Co-founder - Expert Partner at Impact Delta

Jim is a co-founder and partner at Impact Delta, and has over 20 years of experience working in impact investing across a range of social and environmental themes. Most recently he was a managing director in charge of private market Impact and ESG investing within the Alternative Investment and Manager Selection team at Goldman Sachs. Prior to this, Jim was serving the same role at Imprint Capital, which Goldman acquired in 2015.

Before rejoining Goldman through the Imprint acquisition, Jim was responsible for the private equity program at New Island Capital. He advanced the mission of the firm by investing in direct investments and private equity and venture funds that were principally focused on environmental themes.

Jim also spent five years at Omidyar Network where he made investments and grants that expand economic opportunity through access to capital. He funded opportunities in microfinance and entrepreneurship, principally focusing on venture and early stage opportunities targeting the base of the pyramid populations in emerging markets. Prior to Omidyar Network, he was the CFO of MTI Micro Fuel Cells Inc., which commercializes direct methanol fuel cells for handheld electronics.

Jim started his career as an equity research analyst in the energy sector, covering international and Russian oil companies for Goldman Sachs in New York and London and Renaissance Capital in Russia.

He currently serves on the board of the Biomimicry Institute and received his MBA from Harvard University and BA in International Relations from Stanford University.
