Michael Wynholds

Michael Wynholds has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Michael started their career as a Software Engineer at Netscape Communications in 1996, where they worked on various server projects. After three years, Netscape was acquired by AOL.

In 1999, they joined Sparks.com as a Software Architect, where they experienced the failure of the company that was focused on selling greeting cards online.

In 2000, Michael became the CEO of Carbon Five, an Agile product development shop with locations in San Francisco, New York, Santa Monica, Seattle, and Chattanooga. In November 2021, Carbon Five was acquired by West Monroe Partners, a full-service management consulting and digital product development firm.

From 2015 to 2021, Michael served as a Board Member at Kuma Capital LLC, a quantitative analytics company for cryptocurrency investors. Kuma Capital was later acquired by McCourt Global.

In October 2023, Michael is expected to take on the role of CTO at Impact Crew.

Michael Wynholds attended UCLA from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
