Martin Tenniswood

Group Chief Scientific Officer at Impact NRS

Dr. Tenniswood received his undergraduate degree specializing in organic chemistry and published his first peer-reviewed manuscript describing the aberrant coumarin metabolism in crown gall tumor tissue from tobacco in 1974.

His subsequent research publications span a number of diverse topics, including vitellogenesis in Xenopus laevis and rainbow trout; the genetics and molecular biology of hormone-dependent cancers including prostate, breast and endometrial cancer; the genetics of degenerative eye diseases including choroideremia and retinitis pigmentosa; impact of diet on tumor growth, and the development of nanoparticle-based drug delivery for hard-to-treat prostate and breast cancers.

Over his career he served as a consultant for a number of Biotech companies. In 2014 Dr. Tenniswood co-founded miR Scientific and currently serves as Chief Scientific Officer.
