Dr. Tsakani Lotten Mthombeni

Dr. Tsakani Lotten Mthombeni currently serves as the Executive: Sustainable Development at Implats since August 2020, focusing on integrating sustainability principles into corporate strategy and driving operational delivery towards defined sustainability goals. Mthombeni has held several prestigious positions, including Non-Executive Director at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, Vice President and Group Head of Energy and Carbon at Gold Fields, and Chairperson of the Energy Intensive Users Group. With extensive experience in energy management and sustainability, Mthombeni has contributed to various community development initiatives and served as an Independent Trustee for the Rustenburg Community Development Trust. Mthombeni's educational background includes degrees in Electrical Engineering, an MSc and PhD from Clarkson University, along with numerous executive programs in business leadership and governance from prestigious institutions.
