Benjamin Schumann

Benjamin Schumann is a Group Leader at The Francis Crick Institute and serves as a Senior Lecturer and Lecturer at Imperial College London since November 2018. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Stanford University's Department of Chemistry focusing on Chemical Glycobiology from January 2016 to September 2018, and a PhD student role at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces from March 2011 to November 2015, working on organic synthesis and the chemical biology of synthetic carbohydrates. Benjamin Schumann holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry from Freie Universität Berlin, a diploma in Biochemistry from the University of Tübingen, and has undertaken internships at Imperial College London and Technische Universität Berlin.
