Chris Rao

Chris Rao is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust since May 2022 and a member of the appeal panel for technology appraisal and highly specialised technologies at NICE since August 2016. Rao holds the position of Honorary Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College London, where the affiliation has been ongoing since October 2006. Previous roles include an Advanced Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgery Fellowship at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, Post-CCT Colorectal Fellow at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, and Resident Surgical Officer at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust.
