Jesse Geerts

Jesse Geerts is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Imperial College London since January 2024 and a Research Fellow at UCL since April 2021. Previously, Jesse served as a Teacher at the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour from September 2016 to April 2022, teaching Python programming and leading coursework for neuroscience PhD students. Academic background includes a PhD in Computational Neuroscience focusing on reinforcement learning algorithms employed by the hippocampus under the supervision of Neil Burgess. Jesse holds dual Master's degrees in Brain and Mind Sciences from UCL and Ecole normale supérieure, along with Bachelor's degrees in Psychobiology and Natural and Social Sciences from the University of Amsterdam. Additional experience includes roles as a Graduate Research Intern at ICM - Brain & Spine Institute and the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging, and as an Undergraduate Research Intern in EEG studies.
