Visiting Professor at Imperial College London

Rama CONT is an accomplished mathematician and researcher currently serving as a Visiting Researcher at the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques and as a Trustee for the IHES Trust UK. Since January 2025, Rama has been involved with the Erlangen AI Hub focusing on the Mathematical Foundations of AI. As a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford since July 2018, Rama also holds positions as Director of the Programme on Systemic Resilience at the Oxford Martin School and Principal Investigator at the Oxford Suzhou Centre for Advanced Research. Additional roles include being a Professorial Fellow in Mathematics at St Hugh's College, a Senior Advisor at 73 Strings, Director of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Mathematics of Random Systems, Scientific Advisor at Mosaic Smart Data, and Visiting Professor at Imperial College London. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Université Paris-Saclay, an Habilitation in Applied Mathematics from Pierre and Marie Curie University, and various degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Chinese Language and Literature.
