Zhen Ye Sin

Zhen Ye (Daniel) Sin is currently a PhD student at Imperial College London, beginning in October 2023. Previously, Zhen served as a research assistant at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, focusing on the role and mechanisms underlying antimicrobial resistance acquisition in gut microbiota from September 2022 to September 2023. Prior experience includes research at the Hong Kong University-Pasteur Institute Research Pole, where Zhen explored antimicrobial resistance related to travel and discovered novel antibiotic resistance genes in gut microbiota. As a private tutor from May 2018 to September 2022, Zhen provided individualized instruction in Biology and English Literature. Earlier experience includes planning studies and writing research letters as a student research assistant at the same institute and working as a brand representative at Hollister Co., enhancing verbal communication and customer service skills. Zhen holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Durham University, completed in June 2021, and received an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Victoria Shanghai Academy in 2018.
