Fei Yao, PhD, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and development, quality assurance, and engineering. Currently serving as Director of R&D at Impossible Foods since November 2020, Fei Yao leads R&D strategies, develops team capabilities, manages budgets, and oversees product launches. Previous roles include Principal Engineer focusing on process development at Impossible Foods, Quality Assurance Manager and Staff Engineer at Katerra, Sr. R&D Engineer at James Hardie Building Products, and roles in new product development and quality assurance at Quanex Building Products and McFarland Cascade. Fei Yao holds a PhD in Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composite from Louisiana State University and has contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor and lecturer.
