Scott Piggott

Principal GNC Engineer

Scott Piggott is an experienced aerospace engineer currently serving as Principal GNC Engineer at Impulse Space since January 2025. Prior to this role, Scott held the position of Chief Engineer at Atomos Space from December 2020 to December 2024. From June 2015 to March 2022, Scott was the ADC Lead at the Laboratory For Atmospheric and Space Physics, where leadership of the ADCS team was assumed in November 2018, completing final hardware integrations and test campaigns for spacecraft launch preparations. Additionally, Scott led ADCS integrated simulation software development for a new spacecraft at LASP. Earlier experience includes work at Odyssey Space Research, LLC, from 2005 to June 2015, contributing to the Orion spacecraft software engineering as well as GNC design for the Dragon spacecraft, where Scott developed and analyzed core systems for rendezvous software. Scott holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
