Dan Simon

Dan Simon is a highly experienced engineer with a solid background in guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems, currently serving as a Principal GNC Engineer at LTA Research since August 2023. Dan has previously held positions such as Applied Research Engineer at Rebellion Defense and Professor at Cleveland State University for over two decades. Early career experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer at Factory Automation, Control, and Technical Services, Instrumentation Metrics, and Satloc Precision GPS Applications, as well as various engineering positions at TRW Defense & Space Systems Group, where responsibilities included senior test engineering. Dan's foundational experience began at Boeing and included early work as a laundry worker at Sparkle Laundry. Academic qualifications consist of a PhD and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and the University of Washington, respectively, in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University.
