Brian Berger

Brian Berger is the executive vice president of commercial cybersecurity for Cytellix, responsible for 24/7 system management and business operations, as well as marketing, development, sales and engineering support of the cyber team and its solutions. He possesses over 28 years of experience in device security, IT, data analytics and corporate leadership and has led the successful development of strategic engagement agreements with multibillion-dollar cloud service providers, securing significant contracts in data encryption, authentication, network security, cloud, analytics and embedded hardware security. His vast industry expertise spans life sciences, manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, as well as government and distribution channels. With the ability to evaluate emerging trends and enhance operational performance and data analytics, he has helped position Cytellix as a frontrunner in recognizing and eliminating cyber threats.

Prior to his role at Cytellix, Berger was co-founder and CEO of Cerberus Co., an IoT and cloud security company renowned for developing owner-based information containers managed from the cloud. Extending device security to applications and enabling information owner protection in any application or platform, the innovative solution was vetted by the National Security Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency. Berger’s esteemed career also includes serving as chief marketing officer of Wave Systems Corp and general manager of Ethentica, the first company to develop authentication solutions based upon fingerprint sensors on flat-panel displays and the use of public key encryption. He also worked with IBM, providing cloud, analytics and security strategies to multibillion-dollar solution providers and early stage companies.

Berger, who holds seven patents in cryptographic technology, earned his bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge and furthered his executive education in strategic business marketing at Harvard Business School, University of Michigan and the IBM Global Sales School. He has served as the chairman and board director for Trusted Computing Group and is the recipient of numerous sales performance awards.
