Helle Wahlberg

Helle Wahlberg is an experienced communications and development professional with a focus on media support and safety for journalists in Asia. Currently serving as Asia Knowledge and Learning Advisor and Asia Regional Programme Manager at International Media Support (IMS) since April 2010, Helle has successfully organized six learning forums aimed at countering disinformation and enhancing journalist safety across South and Southeast Asia. Previous roles include Head of Communications at IMS, Communications Coordinator at the Department for International Development in the UK, and Communications Coordinator for the Nordic Office of the United Nations Development Program. Helle holds a Master's degree in Communications and English from Roskilde University and a Bachelor's degree in Italian and English business studies from Copenhagen Business School, alongside other educational qualifications in Italian.
