Philippe Girard

Philippe Girard is currently the Directeur général at ISAE-Supméca – Institut supérieur de mécanique de Paris since May 2020, and has been a Professeur des universités at IMS Laboratory since 2005. Prior to these roles, Philippe Girard served as Directeur général de l’enseignement et de la recherche at École de l'air from September 2016 to May 2020, overseeing academic programs, research, and academic partnerships. Philippe Girard also held the position of Conseiller académique at the French Air Force Academy, focusing on higher education and research, and was the Directeur of IUFM Aquitaine from 2005 to 2013. Philippe Girard earned a doctorate in engineering sciences from Université de Bordeaux and holds a habilitation degree in research from the same institution, along with an agrégation in mechanical engineering from ENS Cachan.
