Gregoris Mentzas is the Director and Founder of the Information Management Unit (IMU), a multidisciplinary research unit at the National Technical University of Athens. With a background in Operations Research and Information Systems, Gregoris has extensive experience in various roles related to information management and technology, including serving as a Professor at NTUA and working on projects with organizations such as PLANET S.A. and Technisystems. Additionally, Gregoris has a military background as an IT System Administrator in the Hellenic Navy.

IMU/ICCS, Information Management Unit

The Information Management Unit (IMU) is a research unit of ICCS (Institute of Communication and Computer Systems). ICCS was established in 1989 by the Ministry of Education and the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. The mission of IMU is to enable the development of knowledge-driven organisations. We design, develop and validate innovative models, methods and tools that leverage the creation, sharing and use of information and knowledge at the individual, team and organisational levels.
