The Opportunity
As the Director of Hardware and Service Products, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the success of our hardware and service offerings. You’ll lead a dynamic team responsible for productizing and managing key components of our portfolio, including Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), Battery Energy Storage, accessories, and our InCharge service offering. Your mission will be to create innovative, customer-centric solutions that meet market demands and drive growth.
Productizing in this case means gathering the VoC, defining requirements, calculating the business case, running RFPs (if necessary; in conjunction with Supply Chain) and manage the launch for a product. This role also will ensure that the hardware and service products are properly integrated into and enhanced by InControl. Additionally, the hardware product team is responsible for maintaining the product roadmap and ensure that In-Charge’s EV charging hardware portfolio fulfills the customer needs and stays on a cutting-edge level. This means that specifications for EVSE are developed to meet [future] market needs and that these EVSE are delivered accordingly. Additionally, the EVSE functions need to be translated into business relevant language and documentation to ensure that sales and operations can scale the product in the market. The launch activities for all products needs to be supported working with Marketing, Sales, Operations and Supply Chain. The product validation efforts by the Engineering Team need to be supported and the outcomes are expected to be relayed back to the respective supplier to implement the changes.
This role offers flexibility in location, with options to work from our offices in Richmond, VA or Santa Monica, CA, or remotely. Director of Hardware and Service Products reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
