Juan Manuel Ramirez Cortés

Juan Manuel Ramirez Cortés is a distinguished researcher and academic leader in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, currently serving as a Titular Researcher and Director of Research at the Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica (INAOE) since 2016. With a career at INAOE that began in 2007, Juan Manuel has held various roles including Electronics Department Head, and has contributed significantly to academic and research activities within the institution. Previously, Juan Manuel spent 25 years at Universidad de Las Americas Puebla, where responsibilities included Professor, Dean of the Engineering School, and Department Chair for both the Electronics Engineering and Electronics and Computer Science Departments. Juan Manuel holds a Ph.D. from Texas Tech University and a Master's degree from INAOE, complemented by a Bachelor's degree from Instituto Politécnico Nacional.
