Yi Jia is an accomplished professional in the field of predictive modeling and computational biology, currently serving as the Director of Predictive Modeling at Inari since September 2021. In this role, Yi Jia leads strategic development for innovative breeding methodologies utilizing machine learning and genome editing, while also guiding a data leadership team in implementing AI and ML frameworks. Previously, as a Principal Investigator and Computational Biology Lead at Corteva Agriscience, Yi Jia drove trait discovery and optimization through synthetic biology and machine learning, and contributed to the integration of legacy germplasm into breeding programs. Yi Jia's extensive background also includes a significant tenure as a Research Scientist at Dow AgroSciences, where contributions to genomics strategy facilitated substantial cost reductions in genomic selection, as well as a postdoctoral associate position at Cornell University, focusing on genomic selection algorithms and trait genetic architecture. Yi Jia holds a PhD in Plant Biology with a concentration in Genomics from Iowa State University.
