Jelle van Den Berghe

Jelle Van den Berghe is a professional with extensive experience in environmental management and communication. Currently serving as the Manager of Scientific Policy Support and External Communication at INBO since May 2024, Jelle also has been a Lecturer at Hogeschool PXL since September 2014, focusing on nature management, biodiversity, and species management. Previous positions include serving as Deputy Chief of Staff and Advisor for the Flemish Minister of Environment and other departments from January 2020 to May 2024, and as the Owner/Ecologist at Ecotoop from October 2018 to January 2020, where expertise in ecological consulting and biodiversity monitoring was developed. Additionally, Jelle held the role of Project Coordinator at Centrum Duurzaam Groen from September 2013 to December 2018 and was a board member of Natuurpunt from March 2015 to March 2016. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Education in Biology and Geography from HOGENT, obtained between 2010 and 2013.
