Jose Antonio Garrido

Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at INBRAIN Neuroelectronics

Jose Antonio Garrido has an extensive work experience in the field of research and academia. Jose Antonio is currently the Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at INBRAIN Neuroelectronics since 2018. Prior to that, they served as an ICREA Research Professor at the Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (ICN2) from 2015, where they also held the role of Vice-director from 2017. Before joining ICN2, they worked as a Permanent Senior Researcher and Lecturer at the Technische Universität München from 2011 to 2015. Jose Antonio also served as a Senior Researcher in the Department of Physics at Technische Universität München from 2005 to 2010, and led the diamond and advanced carbon group at the Walter Schottky Institute from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they were a Postdoc at the same institute from 2000 to 2003. Jose Antonio began their career as a Researcher at Cornell University in 1999 and at the University of Michigan in 1998. Jose Antonio also gained research experience as a Scholar researcher at IBM Almaden Research Center in 1995.

Jose Antonio Garrido obtained an Engineer degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Universidad Politénica de Madrid between 1991 and 1996. Jose Antonio then pursued a PhD degree from the same institution, which they completed in 2000. Following that, Jose earned a Habilitation degree from the Technical University of Munich in 2011.
