Marini Witjes has over 24 years of experience in the electronics development and project management industry. In 1998, they started their career at Vitatron, a subsidiary of Medtronic, as a Senior Electronic Engineer. Her role included participating in the hardware development and test of the Vitatron C-series and T-series pacemakers, the first pacemakers with DSP sensing on the market. In 2006, they moved to Medtronic as a Team Lead Hardware Verification and Qualification. Marini then moved to EXENDIS in 2009 as a Project Manager and Development Manager. In 2011, they joined DAF Trucks NV as a Project Lead and Senior Diagnostic Toolset Engineer. In 2013, they joined Sapiens Steering Brain Stimulation as a Project Manager and Senior Electronic Engineer. In 2014, they returned to Medtronic as a Program Manager, Project Manager and Senior Systems Engineer. In 2016, they joined ONWARD as a Senior Project Manager and Hardware Development Manager. Finally, in 2022, they will join INBRAIN Neuroelectronics as the Head of Electronics Development and Project Lead Implant System.

Marini Witjes obtained a Bachelor in Electronics and Telecommunication from Avans University of Applied Sciences between 1995 and 1998. In 2008, they completed a PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner fasttrack at Ruysdael to become a PRINCE2 Practitioner. In January 2022, they obtained the Agile at Work: Planning with Agile User Stories certification from LinkedIn.
