Mackenzie Payne has been working in the professional world since 2016. Mackenzie began their career as a FIG Mentor at The University of Texas at Austin, where they led a group of first-year students in adapting to life in college and planned and held weekly meetings. In the same year, they also worked as a Clerical Assistant at the University of Texas at Austin Recreational Sports Accounting Office, where they were responsible for data entry and transaction processing, as well as filing financial deposits. In 2018, they interned at IT'S TIME TEXAS. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Userlytics Corporation, first as a User Experience Researcher, where they gathered UX design insight by leading user research projects from launch to delivery and conducted moderated interviews with users, designed test scripts and screeners, and reported actionable user-centered findings to clients. Later, they became an Operations Manager at the same company. Most recently, they have been working as a Barista at Merit Coffee since 2021. In 2022, they will be starting a new role as a Technical Product Support Specialist at Incentivio.
Mackenzie Payne attended Plano West Senior High from 2013 to 2015. Following that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs from The University of Texas at Austin between 2015 and 2019.
