Doug Wombles

Doug Wombles has over 25 years of work experience in the field of information technology. Doug is currently the Director of Information Technology at Inception Fertility, where they are responsible for establishing IT standards and processes. Their ongoing projects include phone system replacements, SDWAN/Firewall deployment, and standardizing workstation models.

Prior to their current role, Doug worked at Providence Health & Services from 2016 to 2022. Doug served as the Manager of System Performance, overseeing the deployment of ExtraHop across 4 data centers. Doug also worked as an Incident Commander and an ITIL Process Engineer during their time at Providence Health & Services.

Before joining Providence Health & Services, Doug was the Network Operations Supervisor at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic from 2013 to 2016. In this role, they supervised a team responsible for maintaining infrastructure systems and equipment across multiple locations.

Doug Wombles has a diverse education history. Doug started their education journey at Lakeland High School, where they attended from 1977 to 1987. After completing high school, they pursued further education at Missouri State University. From 1991 to 1996, Doug Wombles obtained their Bachelor's degree from Missouri State University, majoring in Biology, Chemistry, and Computer studies. Later, from 2009 to 2012, they returned to Missouri State University for an ITSM degree, focusing on computers.

In addition to their formal education, Doug Wombles has also earned certifications. In 2011, they obtained the ITIL v3 Foundation certification, although the institution from which they obtained this certification is unknown. Most recently, in January 2022, they achieved the Scrum Foundations certification from the Scrum Alliance.
