Purpose of Job:

The Manager Operations Support and Optimization oversees a team responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the commercial & CLS hubs. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for leading port optimization services to support hub operations. This role involves managing and coordinating various operational processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards. The manager plays a key role in driving continuous improvement, identifying operational bottlenecks, and providing solutions to enhance productivity and effectiveness. The Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization, ensuring smooth and efficient processes, and providing support to various departments. The Senior manager will be expected to lead the digital roadmap for port turnaround analysis and will be required to communicate with the clients and offer additional services as agreed with the client & will be responsible for leading the port optimization team in Navi Mumbai.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead various support function teams and managing their entire processes.

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day operations support activities.

  • Manage the port optimization team in location and coordinate activities with hub operations and other members of port optimization in different locations

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions.

  • Develop and implement standardized operational procedures and best practices.

  • Ensure that all procedures and processes are followed and completed to the highest possible service delivery standard.

  • Be responsible to the customer for timely updates of ISS systems and reports

  • Understand the Company’s capabilities and effectively communicate these to the customer.

  • Ensure that any customer issues are dealt with in an efficient and expeditious manner in accordance with the Companies Quality Manual.

  • Manage the workload of the Marine Data Collection team to efficiently meet customer delivery commitments in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner.

  • Communicate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure that marine data is effectively sourced, accurate, and consistently delivered.

  • Monitor and analyse operational processes to identify areas for improvement.

  • Develop the team, managing their performance, setting their objectives and, development plans.

  • Monitor and mentor the team’s performance resolving any issues and challenges.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the operations support team to ensure high performance and productivity.

  • Consistently provide excellent customer service to our customers.

  • Build relationships with our customers external and internal.

  • Develop and analyze operational reports to assess performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Manage the resources to deliver business needs in a consistent, accurate, and timely manner.

  • Lead process improvement tasks that enhance production and delivery to our customers

  • Develop and grow the business through potential integration with other applications such as World of Ports, and Optic, to add value to the Inchcape value proposition.

  • Manage the digitalization of SOF using the parsing tool provided by transformation

  • Work with hub operations to evaluate port optimization and turn around using the SOF data

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or related field

  • Proven experience in operations management or support role

  • Have experience in dealing with Statement of Facts and laytime calculations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for operations management
