Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Sr. A/R / Billing Specialist will support day-to-day billing operations. Once their training is complete, this position will be hybrid with 2-3 days a week spent in the company’s office at 750 Glenwood Avenue SE in Atlanta. Daily activities include billing customers, responding to customers’ requests, posting transactions in the accounting system.

The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail and strong communication skills. They are a proactive team player and will have plenty of opportunities to learn. The Finance & Accounting organization is a close-knit team reporting to the CFO. It consists of a Payroll Accountant, Senior Staff Accountant and Controller (Accounting team), as well as FP&A Manager and Business Analyst (FP&A team).

Sr. A/R Specialist Responsibilities

  • Handle accounts receivable operations efficiently and ensure the daily billing of closed sales and timely collection of outstanding payments from our valued customers.
  • Collaborate with sales and accounting teams to resolve customers’ billing and other inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Post invoices and cash receipts in the accounting system daily.
  • Maintain accurate records and supporting documents for all invoices, credit memos and expenses in Salesforce.
  • Participate in the month-end closing process, providing support to the accounting team as needed.
  • Over time, Sr. A/R Specialist will have an opportunity to grow and assist with other accounting areas and ad-hoc projects, and be a part of the NetSuite implementation project.

Key Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 3+ year of A/R / Billing experience, or similar duties
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, comfortable learning new technology
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with customers and colleagues
  • Detail-oriented and organized approach
  • Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision
  • Be someone that is looking to learn and improve, solicits feedback
  • Prior Saas experience and system implementation experience is preferred
