August Oudshoorn has a diverse work experience in several companies and roles. In 2011, they worked as a Research Fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children, focusing on a research project on Tetralogy of Fallot. From 2015 to 2016, they served as an ANIOS Spoedeisende Hulp at Flevoziekenhuis. In 2016, they joined Red Cross Hospital Beverwijk Netherlands as an ANIOS Interne Geneeskunde. In 2017, they became self-employed and worked as a Medical Examiner for Driver's License Eligibility. In 2018, they joined Incision and held various roles, including Medical Content Creator, Product Creation & Process Optimization Lead, and Product Owner. Since 2022, they have been working as a Zorgambassadeur at De Zorgambassade.

August Oudshoorn attended Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet from the year 2000 to 2006, where they completed their Gymnasium degree with a focus on Natuur en Gezondheid (Science and Health). Following this, they enrolled at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2006 to 2014, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Algemene geneeskunde (General Medicine).
