Kaylen Prior

Kaylen Prior has a diverse work experience in chemistry-related roles. They currently hold the position of Chief Chemist at the Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Laboratory Analyst I at IVGID from December 2021 to May 2022, where they were responsible for performing chemical and microbiological analyses on drinking water and wastewater.

Prior also has experience as a Chemist at Orthogroup, Inc. from June 2020 to October 2020. They had a role as a Customer Support and Service Coordinator at Markes International from June 2017 to January 2019, where they provided support and coordination for customer needs.

Furthermore, Prior served as an NMR Validation Scholar (Leadership) at Fellowship-PANIC inc from August 2016 to May 2017. They contributed to the organization of the NMR Validation Workshop by managing, speaking, and serving as a secretary and also conducted bi-weekly teleconference meetings.

Lastly, Prior worked as an Undergraduate/Graduate Research Assistant at Colorado State University from May 2015 to May 2017. During this time, they also worked as a Student Athlete Tutor, providing academic support to student athletes in various subjects, including chemistry, math, and physics.

Kaylen Prior's education history includes completing a Master of Arts degree in Education at National University from 2021 to 2022. Prior had previously pursued a Master of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry from Colorado State University between 2016 and 2017. Prior started their journey in higher education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, specializing in ACS certification, at Colorado State University from 2014 to 2016.

In addition to formal degrees, Prior obtained several certifications. They acquired the Water Quality Laboratory Analyst GRADE 2 certification from the American Water Works Association in June 2023. Before that, in March 2022, they obtained the Water Quality Laboratory Analyst GRADE 1 certification from the same institution. Prior also holds a Certificate of Clearance from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, which was obtained in April 2021.
